Chris Vaughan was born in Gravesend, which is an aptly named place in Kent.

He grew up in and around Canterbury where he eventually studied Literature.

After spending some time in Milwaukee, Wisconsin he emigrated to Gibraltar in 2006.

There he met his girlfriend and they had a son in 2008.

He lives with his family and works in Malta, a 'derelict and idyllic' island close to Siciliy.
